A photograph of the auroral arc overhead. The arc, often called, the corona is the portion of the aurora that is directly overhead.

Standing tall I look above me and see the aurora arc over head. Surrounding landscapes are lite by a full moon which contibute to the unique hues of blue while the corona stretches across splitting the image in two.
Photographing the auroras on a night with a full moon is rather difficult as it will wash away a lot of colour however it did help this image by creating a very solid band of the arc.
